Business has a major role to play in protecting the environment

The first Orchid facility built at Huyton on Merseyside is capable of treating up to 80,000 tonnes per annum of mixed commercial and municipal solid wastes. This facility demonstrates the capability of the Orchid process to recover clean recyclates, produce a range of sanitised renewable fuel products and divert significant percentages of waste away from landfill. In so doing it meets UK Government strategies on waste and supports Government targets on climate change.
