Technology creating sustainable, low cost alternative fuels

In 2008, within 9 months from start of construction Orchid unveiled its first operational site at Huyton, located in the Northwest of England. The facility, permitted to process upto 50,000tpa of local municipal waste, confirmed a robust capacity to automatically separate and recover valuable biomass and other traditional commodities for reuse.

Following a few simple process changes the Huyton facility now receives commercial and trade wastes from shops, offices, restaurants and other local businesses.

Orchid facilities offer a positive addition to the urban landscape and create new job opportunities. Architects and town planners have the freedom to consider a range of design options to suit urban fringe and inner city developments.
