Incoming waste is received in a reception area, where it is then fed into a trommel screen, using a front end loader or grab crane. The trommel oversize is then fed onto an inspection belt, where miscellaneous items are removed before shredding. Undersize from the trommel is added to the shredded oversize and mixed into a homogenised stockpile, to provide the quality and consistency of the waste input.
